He had 4260 grams of cigarettes, about 400 packs inside the suitcase. And that load was considered contraband.

The Customs and Monopolies Agency and the Guardia di Finanza intercepted him at Cagliari airport, transported by an Italian passenger coming from Brazil, boarding a flight from Rome to Elmas.

Here he was stopped because he was transporting a quantity of cigarettes exceeding the limit permitted by law, trying to evade the checks systematically carried out by the Customs and Monopolies Agency of Cagliari and the Guardia di Finanza.

Since it involved the undeclared introduction into the national territory of foreign manufactured tobacco products not bearing the State Monopolies seal, for a quantity of less than 10 kilograms, the fine imposed was 21,300 euros.
