The history of the secondary railways, from Nuoro to Macomer and then to Bosa, to the sea, constitute the original exhibition, set up at the intermodal passenger centre of Macomer, between the two old stations. "Gentlemen, in the carriage!" is the history of the narrow gauge railways, from 1889 to 1981, which is retraced through the dioramas created by Mario Doria, a Nuoro native who spent his childhood travelling on those trains. Dioramas that tell the magic of the years now gone by, lived among the scents and landscapes, between Nuoro and Macomer and then to Bosa, which have been skilfully reproduced by the artist of Nuoro origins.

The exhibition is set up by the cultural association Maart City Heart, in collaboration with the Cooperativa Esedra. Until September it can only be visited by travellers on the green train, on the stretch between Macomer and Bosa Marina, together with the exhibition of ancient TVs, "Scatole di Luce". Starting in October, however, the exhibition will be open to everyone, permanently. «The dioramas - explains the president of Maart City Heart, Marco Benevole - tell the magic of the clouds of steam and the landscapes, with the stations and the roadmen's houses crossed by the train, which carried bathers to Bosa Marina». Mario Doria adds: «The works tell of magical moments, which are linked to my childhood».

History of each station, of the small roadmen, the trees and the animals. The sea. Elements that coexist in memories to reconstruct a piece of history, the one that accompanied the years of the Ferrovie Complementari della Sardegna, beautiful despite everything. A journey through that countryside, which from the center of the island reached the sea". The dioramas represent that history, with the two stations of Macomer, those of the villages and the roadmen. "Works created about 25 years ago - says Mario Doria - at the dawn of the new millennium and are a tribute to my beautiful childhood spent between trips from Nuoro to Macomer up to the blue of the sea of Bosa".
