Russia-Ukraine Negotiations, Putin Won't Be in Istanbul: Medinsky Heads Moscow Delegation

Vladimir Medinsky, former Minister of Culture and current adviser to President Vladimir Putin, will lead the Russian delegation to the direct negotiations with Ukraine scheduled in Istanbul tomorrow, May 15.
Not only Putin himself will be absent, but also Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the Kremlin reported.
Medinsky also played a leading role in the last direct negotiations, in 2022.
At this point, even the presence of Donald Trump, who had announced his participation in the event of confirmation by the Russian president, is not certain .
